For some people, there are a variety of vision distortion problems that can be experienced while reading which effects overall reading and spelling performance.

Most of us see things the same way. We see groups of words or phrases and the print is more dominant than the background. For some however the print shows movement while sometimes the printed letters are not evenly black and black print on white paper does not give the best contrast.

The following distortions help in our understanding of the diffuculties that some face.
